Year 6
At Buxlow School, Year 6 is a pivotal year for our pupils as they take their 11+ examinations if Grammar or Independent Schools are on the horizon. Our experienced and skilled teachers work closely with each child to develop their academic abilities, confidence, and exam skills. Philosophy for Children practice will have by this point, enabled the pupils to develop their communication, problem-solving and critical thinking skills which will stand them in good stead. Interview practice takes place with our Headteacher so that the pupils feel well prepared for the process and perform at their very best.
Leadership skills are further developed through a range of responsibilities:

Deputy Head Boy / Deputy Head Girl
